Photographer's Note
This shot was taken at southern island in New Zealand. I was waiting for the right moment and my patience paid off. Shortly after sunset the red spot appeared on the sky a gave me the glow I was waiting for. Have a nice day all, guys. ;-) Cheers, R.
Some info about the place:
The Moeraki Boulders are a number of huge spherical stones, found strewn along a stretch of Koekohe Beach near Moeraki, a small settlement just south of Hampden on New Zealand's Otago coast. These boulders are grey-coloured septarian concretions which have been exposed through shoreline erosion from black mudstone coastal cliffs that back the beach. They originally formed in ancient sea floor sediments during the early Paleocene some 60 million years ago.

Hello Radim,
This is a fine example of how a landscape can touch one's emotions when presented through good photography. Excellent composition, fully balanced around the boulder. You have a terrific gallery. Regards,
Hakan

Hi Radim,
I simply love minimalistic photos that work. Wonderful compo with ripples immitating the clouds. I like it that you included just a round stone, nothing more, into the frame. Well seen and done.

That's definitely a photo I would hang up at my wall! Perfect timing, composition and POV. The frame adds a lot. Excellent work!

Hi Radim;
It feels like ages since I last visited your gallery- not to be taken personally, I havent been visiting ANYONES galleries! Haha. Always lots of stuff to do during the Christmas holidays and photography always seems to take a back seat...
You really do have a great eye for spotting interesting compositions, and the technical know-how to best photograph it.
Did you darken up the sky with a graduated ND filter or possibly darken it slightly in PS?
Great work Radim, keep it up!
Happy New Years!

Hi Radim,
An excellent artistic image of this beach and seascape. The slow speed has created such a pleasant softness to the rippled sand, and the lone rock provides the contrast to the rest of the photo. Colours are amazing, and overall result is exceptional. Well done.
Cheers Grant

You were definitely rewarded with this shot. That little glimmer of red really makes the photo. The single boulder really looks good against the ripples in the sand.
I also like your framing on this shot, as the large white frame looks great.

Hi Radim. Another masterful scene of the beauty found where the sea meets the land, and in your case usually under a vibrant and evocative sky. Always a pleasure to look at your work. Regards. Klaudio.

So simple yet so beautiful, it really has a zen feel. I agree the red spot adds a special touch. The fat white frame adds to the minimalism.

Hi Radim, a pleasure to see you back ! I see you were out of TE for some monthes and it's a pleasure to see you here again, i see you lost nothing of your photographic skills and sense of composition. This one is terrific and i love the result, square is a clever shot, this kind of tortoise in water seems to be moving and alive !
Great one

Radim,
what a stunning collection do you have! I was browsing through several shots and all of photographies are extremely pleasant for my senses.
The present shot could be used for any photography lesson regarding compositional skills. The image almost doesn't have subjects, its minimalistic, but wat it has is so well distributed. Certainly the boulder is THE eye-catcher well placed with the 1/3 rule, but without the red drawing a diagonal to the boulder and my eyes is fantastic. The slow speed shutter gave the blurr of the water at the right amount to still give enough information to see the ripple sand. Another very pleasing thing is your 1/4 of the horizon and finally the square format the completes the presentation.
Outstanding shot!
Cheers, Peter

Hi Radim,
Looks as if the boulder is meditating in this dreamy atmosphere. The patch of orange through the clouds makes the picture more impressive.
