Photographer's Note
Fourth and last of the series on the flight to the glacier on Mt Cook.
Taken thru the window, passing very near this supreme landscape.
On the upper left corner you can see part of the wing.
Scanned.

Hi Daniel,
it looks kind of danngerous, like it can go down anytime.
Good definition and details for a palne-shot.
Thanks and regards, Gerrit

Wow, such a great photo, considering it was taken from a fast flying plane.
I just love the intensity of the colours.

Dear Daniel
I can only stare with awe at the superb clarity you've achieved here. Amazing texture of the snow...the visible lower part of the plane wing reveals your perspective. Great shot

This is incredible quality and through a window and from a scan!! The vertical format and the diagonal lines of the ridge make a very good composition.

So beautiful, so artistic and very attractive shot. The colors are just superb with great sharpness and saturation. The sunlight at upper part and dark blue shade in the down is giving beauty to the scene.
Thanks for sharing this great composition.

Hi Daniel,
I see you've saved the best for last. I'll have to remember that strategy. In reviewing your excellent critiques above, I find that Kath and Rakeesh best descibe my thoughts about the wonderful detail and color with the sharp diagonal line defining the steepness of the mountain.

Wow Daniel, it looks so smooth... if it wasn't as cold as it probably is I would like to slide down to the bottom. Great job!

Hi Daniel
Very recently I saw a programme on TV reenacting how 2 guys got into bad weather climbing Mt Cook in the 1980s and couldn't be rescued for a couple of weeks and lost their legs. Just yesterday I read that one of them is going to attempt to climb Everest. Your photo shows what a daunting mountain it is. The contrasts and the blue of the ice are excellent. I like how you've included a bit of the wing to give some scale.

daniel,
this shot could be an abstract shot without the wing of the plane . good color saturation and pov.

What a "hot" picture ... and as I am up in the air quite often (with my "better" half) this pleases me even more. I never manage to get such clear pictures. This is so so beautiful. Perfect.

Wow - you've done very well do overcome the significant challenges of shooting under these sort of conditions.
Stunning colours; the ice somehow seems to glow even in shadow, was there some reflection just out of the frame?
Really excellent picture, although probably better with the aircraft wing cropped out. Thanks for sharing!

Daniel.
This is wonderful. Great angle and composition.
Surprised you achieved so much clarity through
the windows of a plane. Or did you open it ? :-)
