Photographer's Note

Blue Mountains, west of Sydney is almost exactly 2 hours, by country train from Central station in the city and is definitely worth the trip. Many enjoyable bushwalks are to be found with spectacular valley views, as well as some waterfalls. On this trek, we got out at Leura train station and not far from there is the entrance to the park, from which we walked to Katoomba, passed the 3 sisters (famous mountain range) and back to Katoomba train station.

This was a particularly sunny day, and the sun wasn't setting soon enough, due to daylight savings, so the light was quite harsh and some post processing in Photoshop had to be done, mostly using the levels and highlights/shaddows tools. This is a typical view from the many lookouts along this trek, although the photo doesn't convey the vastness of the land as much as I'd like it to.
