Photographer's Note

I just got back from a week in Sydney, I didn't take a lot of photos but here is one that I did manage to grab. I don't know why, but I was interested to see that the lifeguards seemed to be sponsored by DHL; I guess advertising money is appreciated by everyone. The surf was quite strong and the lifeguards were keeping everyone close to shore. Rather than planting this sign in the sand and being more mobile, this guy was actually standing there and doing nothing other than propping the sign up. Seemed a waste of manpower to me.

This was taken at Cronulla Beach in the Suburbs of Sydney. Cronulla made headlines a few weeks ago when there was some race related rioting there. Thankfully, all was calm when I was there.

Focal length 15mm, handheld, somewhat normal post processing, but I did boost the blue some, uncropped
