On the other side of the Gundabooka Range from the Aboriginal rock art site we took another walk towards the range and Bennetts Gorge. Unfortunately it was getting late and we didn't have enough time to go the whole way - just far enough to appreciate the colours and textures of the range.

Bonjour, cher Ian,
L'aspect sauvage et aride des lieux attire forcιment le regard, et l'on prend plaisir ΰ dιcouvrir ce lieu qui ne souhaite pas κtre hospitalier (du moins, il n'en donne pas l'impression).
Un bel effet de relief.
Amitiιs.

Hello Ian,
You mention the colours and textures in the last sentence, and those were the features that immediately struck me. The most distant hillside looks fantastic, but I also like the many small bushes in the foreground. It really pays to see the larger version, where the clarity of the photo is more evident.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Ian,
The point of view is showing the details of the Bennetts Gorge. This is a place I am discovering with your picture. The light is giviving nice tints to the colours. When I visited Australia in 1981 and 2004, I had a sightseeing tour to the Blue Mountains parks and Sydney in New South Wales. Have a nice day.

Hello Ian,
I know we have to keep reminding people but this does look so much better in the large format!
The shrubs and the small trees offer some delightful green hues in contrast with the ochre colours of the rocks or soil.
I like how the overlapping slopes create a fine sense of depth. The slope is definitely defined by its green plants.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Ian,
A beautiful view of this landscape and the gorge. I really like the combination of lighter and darker green in the vegetation and the contrast with the yellow, orange and brown tones of the rocky parts. The light was great as well.

Hello Ian.
A beautiful view of this canyon, with a good chromaticism for those pink lands that contrast with the different shades of green of trees and shrubs. I suppose there will be a riverbed with seasonal flow.
Well done. I love it.
Enjoy the weekend.
Very best regards.
Luis.
