My next series of photos from outback New South Wales is from the district of Gunderbooka (yet another new place for TE) between the towns of Bourke and Louth along the Darling River. The district consists of a few huge sheep stations (the typical size is more than 10,000 ha) although recently many have started to also graze goats (the goat meat gets exported to the USA and the Middle East).
It is a red spoil and sand area as you can see from this photo.

Hi Ian,
Nice landscape with these colors and this particular red soil, well presented with a pleasant sunlight, good contrast of tones with the green leaves, tfs.

Hello Ian, the landscape here looks like in the Red Center, in Alice Springs. I find such a red soil very attractive. Lovely eucalyptuses. Wonderful composition, stunning sharpness. Pity that there are no jumping kangaroos :).
Have a nice weekend

Bonjour, cher Ian,
Terre rouge oω prolifθre une vιgιtation aux formes ιlιgantes.
Mais oω se trouve la nourriture terrestre sur ce sol qui semble aride.

Hello Ian,
This reminds me of Africa, where the soil is usually red. The trees, which seem to be of different species, provide a nice contrast of colours. I like the bright light and sharpness.
Regards,
Gert

Hello Ian, lots of different trees making shadows across the very red soil.
There doesn’t look a lot for sheep to eat here, but maybe this isn’t where they graze.
It looks like you had lovely weather for your trip.
The beautiful blue sky complements the scene.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Ian,
The red soil is really eye-catching and attractive and looks really good here in this bright sunlight. The contrast with the green of the trees, whose shapes look great as well, and the blue sky is wonderful. Great landscape.

Hello Ian,
The red soil is the thing that immediately strikes me.
Isn't the earth around Uluru red too? Actually, I know very little about Australia.
It is also peculiar that there are quite a few trees growing, but not many smaller plant species or grasses.
This while in my own country grass or weeds grow between every two stones.
Best regards, Paul
