Fantastic light and tones of blue, making this an attractive and wonderful composition! The texture of the wet sand is excellent, broken by the beautiful reflections of the sky on the puddle! Excellent job!

Hello Lisa

Horizons aren't supposed (according to the so-called "rules") to go across the middle of a photograph. So I'm glad yours does! In fact it emphasizes the beauty and calm of this wonderful location: it seems to add a kind of zen quality of peace and balance. The colours too complement each other so well, with the sand and water taking on the hues of the sky. Earth, water, fire and air...

when I see landscape beaches with sunsets, I think about you.

Gotta love the overall blue, and the marks in the sank, like snakes creeping and crawling across when nobody is watching.

Ciao cara Lisa. I would love to snorkel a bit in this reef. What a marvelous picture. The colours , the composition are simply gorgeous. marvelous sky with these delicate clouds.
When I was in Lofoten, they told me that diving there is also very attractive. Not a coral reef but many fish. But not cold?? I didn't try to have a bath.

Ciao cara Lisa,

Now this is the genre of photograph I most associate with yourself - like the ones I first saw when I came across your gallery here more years ago than I care to remember - beautiful calming and restful seascapes taken in glorious light with fabulous colours of sky, land and sea.

But you are obviously much more of a water babe than I - I prefer to admire the view and not get my feet wet and the idea of diving into water makes my blood curdle.

Because you've told me in the past that you're not generally an early riser, I suspect therefore that this is an evening shot with the last rays of the sun lighting up the sky wonderfully just above the horizon as well as a tiny band of water just beyond the distant sands. And that warm light is in contrast to the glorious and varied shades of blue which pervade the remainder of the scene, the beautiful pattern of the clouds contrasting finely with the more regular ripples in the sand below and the beautifully clear reflections in the calm pools of water in the foreground.

A perfectly composed image with glorious light and colours, perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.
