Photographer's Note

This is a repost of a shot I took down about 10 minutes after uploading it yesterday. It had only been in the Gallery for 5 minutes when Craig Seymour [triptych2003]pointed out that it could be cropped at the bottom. I looked at it again and agreed with him. So I've reposted the shot with a narrower foreground. Craig might have had a more savage crop in mind, I don't know. Anyway, thanks Craig for the suggestion.

Our (Melbourne's) Indian Summer (one seeming to continue well into autumn) continues. Another evening sets on the shores of Port Phillip Bay in the Melbourne suburb of Elwood. I turned off the main road to see if there was a shot or two in the sunset, and managed to catch this runner in the gap before he or she disappeared behind the gnarled ti-tree (or melaleuca). I had only my Panasonic and didn't have time to do more than use the 'P' setting, but with a huge crop, a bit of PP and noise reduction it came out not too bad. A bit of messing around selectively with levels brought some detail back into the foreground vegetation. I was surprised to see the shutter/aperture combination had managed to capture the runner sharply.

Now, if anyone bothers to read this far and knows the answer to this one...
When you go to 'Manage' you have the options of Delete or Repost. My question is, if sufficient time has passed to make another upload, can one select 'Repost' and upload another version of the same photo with the same name and retain the critiques that have already been posted? I know, I should ask this in the forums. I will if no one answers!
