Photographer's Note
From Apollo Beach the Great Ocean Road follows the coast from rocky bay to rocky bay. There are mostly steep Rocky cliffs here with very few beaches. The Southern Ocean is dangerous and powerful here and the great waves pound the red sandstone cliffs of Victoria. This coast was know as 'The Shipwreck Coast' because of the number of ships battered by the angry sea against these rocks. Strong onshore winds an these cruel rocks has proved the end of a number of them during the 18th and 19th centuries.

Hello Kevin,
A splendid seascape with much to admire. I like the point of view and the view round the cliffs to the far headland. Good colours and clarity.

It is a very nice view which I believe I have seen as I did the Great Ocean Road several times. The POV is spectacular and the colours are good. It seems a bit soft over the cliffs but nothing major. Also a minor flaw is the tilted horizon. Now a question, how come you got that light blue area near the surf in the foreground just above the vegetation? It caught my eye as soon as I looked to the picture.

Hello kevin. The coast has a very much impressing name and one can assume that many ships stranded here. Today this danger seems avoided, and one sees only the beauty of this untouched nature. Worth seeing and impressing. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hello Kevin,
You captured an enviable scene from top of cliffs while adding rocky ridges in excellent contrast with ocean blue. Repeating wide foams are fantastic. Congratulations. Have a nice week end.
Best Regards,

Hello my friend
I guess you're enjoying your 40D which gives good results and here I do really like the pov on the ocean/cliffs and the luminosity! The colors are great, especially the different blue tones...A good sense of depth too!

Hi Kevin,
Getting into landscapes lately! A nice POV here, with good use of FG bush to give depth and sense of distance. Good framing with just enough sky... I like the sweet colors!

Hello Kevin,
I like the curving of the coast in this wonderful image.
The coast has a very much impressing name and one can assume that many ships stranded here, along time ago.
Composition and colours are very nice. TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Beautiful unspoilt coastline and nice busy sky above, reminds me a little of the California coast but without as much human impact.
