Photographer's Note
I had a visitor in my backyard not too long ago. This frilled-neck lizard hung around quite stationary for most of the afternoon. Definitely long enough to take a bunch of photos, this one being one of the better ones.
Frilled-neck lizards or Frilled Dragons can be found all across the north of Australia, parts of the East and West Coast & further north in Papua New Guinea.
They're generally considered pretty harmless unless provoked, in which case they'll extend their neck frill and charge at their target. They can run both on all four legs or on their hind legs.

Hi mate,
I also live in Brisbane, more precisely in Redcliffe. Frill lizards and bluetongue lizards are very common in my back yard and the dog is very often fighting those creatures until we come around and separate them.
The picture is very nice with good colours and superb sharpness on his head. Well done.
Antonio
PS. By the way, where do you live?
