Photographer's Note
Here I present a most elegant and regal cathedral,this shot was taken from the southern end. the pool and fountain in the foreground is actually the roof of the Aquatic Centre that is located below. St Marys Cathedral is located in the CBD on College Street and is directly opposite the Archibald Fountain Hyde Park.

This is a very well composed and framed photo, a very effective presentation of the impressive cathedral. The point of view is great, the pool and fountain give depth and perspective, provide subtle curvy patterns and luminous reflections that make a nice contrast with the long vertical lines and dark tones, prominent in the architecture of the cathedral. The ladies at the side of the pool are a great addition to the composition offering scale, interest and balance. A lovely b&w photo, well done and thank you!
