Photographer's Note
New York City
It΄s not only the biggest city of the USA, it is even the third biggest city of the whole world (after Tokyo-Yokohama and Mexico City). Almost ten million people are living in the city, and if you also count the ones living in the outskirts and suburbs, you even reach a number of almost 23 million people (that΄s over 15 million more than in San Francisco and 12 times as much as in Las Vegas!). The next incredible thing to mention is the gigantic circumference of 1.214 km².
New York City is divided in five different boroughs : Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island and ..... very probably the most famous one, Manhattan. The whole borough is full of skyscrapers and other gigantic buildings, but there are also some places to recover, like the famous Central Park or some other smaller parks hidden behind the skyline.
I took my photo from the top of the 259 meters high Rockefeller Center ("Top Of The Rocks"), from where you had a nice view to the city, especially to the 450 meters high Empire State Building, that you can see on the left of my picture. Actually the weather wasn΄t so good that day, but the Blue Hour brought a nice sky, so I decided to give it 2/3 of my picture. Some strong contrast compared to my last landscape picture, I think ;)
I΄m glad for any advice, hint or proposition, that could help me to improve my photography.

So from top of the rocks, usefull to know when i'll go there. Is access free?
You got a great composure and blue hour cloudy sky is impressive. For my part, i should have prefer a more important part of city than sky in about a quarter of picture's size.

A well exposed low light capture, pin sharp details in the architecture!
The colours are well reproduced, in a fine mix of warm and cold...
The composition is nicely balanced, with the ESB as a natural eye-catcher!

Hallo Jonas! Kleiner Mond riesengrosse Stadt :) Unglaublich was da unten abgeht und es ist sicher angenehm hier oben zu stehen und einfach ganz cool runter zu sehen und dem "Wahnsinn" einen Moment lang den Ruecken zu kehren. Wunderschoener blauer Himmel und eben dieser kleine Mond zusammen mit dem vollen Leben der Stadt finde ich ein herrlicher Mix, irgendwie schraeg :))) Tolle Arbeit, ich will auch so einen Mark, der meine Bilder betreut ... dieser Mark muss es ja draufhaben, den wόrd ich zu gern mal treffen ;-) Spaί beiseite, das bild kenn ich ja zwar schon, aber nichtsdestotrotz schau ichs mir immer gern an. Ich finde nicht, dass du nicht den "interessanten Teil" von New York gezeigt hδttest, zumal das sowieso subjektiv ist. Empire State, Central Park und Hudson, alles da. Toller Himmel, was mich gestφrt hab als ich oben war, war dieses Gebδude mit der Spitze (das neben dem Empire State), passt da irgendwie nicht hin...
Also super Arbeit wieder mal, sehr schφn!

This is nice, because normally we see always more buildings than sky, you are showing it the other way round with some stunning cloud formations in the far distance and the moon as a nice touch on the left side...i like that.

I love how you included more sky than NY city itself, something I have not seen very often, Most of the time people want to show as much of the city. The blue hour give the sky a deep rich tone, The saturation and contrast is just right, enough to make it pop. The moon is just an incing on the cake, adding a very romantic mood to the city view. Like "Sex and the City" Okay, that a girl movie, you wouldn't have seen it. Mark did a good job on editing this one. Thanks

I like this sky-oriented view of Manhattan. Brings a change and this blue hour sky is truly beautiful. The yellow-lit ESB stands out like a lighthouse in all this blue. Good job!

I like much this splendid sky which gives a very good relief to this very urban landscape !!! A beautiful blue hour with perfectly controlled lightings. The quarter moon in the sky adds more to the image. Well done Jonas, cheer.

High above the city with a lovely panorama view.
You have a nice high point for take this nice image, Rockefeller Center a ideal place for look it above the city New York. Nice colour game, nice blue sky and nice enlightenment also.
