Photographer's Note
Location: Glacier National Park, Montana
Glacier National Park is a place where the Prairies and the Rockies meet abruptly. High mountains, glacial lakes, waterfalls, grizzlies co-exist with humans to create a unique and beautiful environment. Located in Northwest Montana, this remote place is hard to get to, but definitely worth a visit. July - Sept are the best months to visit Glacier National Park.
A narrow beam opening of light through the clouds illuminated the stands of the rain on the opposite side of the valley creating rivers of rain in the sky. I selected an appropriate foreground that echoes the strand rain in the sky. ND Grad filter was used to slow the shutter speed of the water on the ground.

It's a picture perfect composition Jay, the sunburst..the trickling stream against the corniferous trees,the pink flowers in the foreground..couldnt get better eh ?
The colours have come out beautifully too..an overall beauty..tfsharing

Hi Jay,
You've captured such good depth in this image, along with the amazing light and sun rays. Add to that a good composition, a touch of purple colour in the foreground flowers, and what do you get......a superb photo all around. Very well done.

A beautiful, beautiful shot here of this valley and with this narrow beam of sunlight shining through. Really, this has such feeling and wonder to it...one of the prettiest shots I have seen from Glacier National Park. I would expect a Blackfoot on horseback to gently wander into this photo at anytime, it is such a setting.
