Photographer's Note
This is the Villa Regina, a condominium located at 1581 Brickell Avenue, Miami. It was built in 1984, and overlooks the beautiful Biscayne Bay.
The building’s architect is Ya’akov Agam, an Israeli, internationally recognized and prize winning artist. A pioneer of kinetic art in the 50s, Agam has since continued his line of extensive experimentation with new mediums, including cutting edge technologies. His enormous, kinetic, mural paintings can be seen on buildings in the United States and Israel (such as the Mondrian Hotel of Los Angeles, Dan Hotel of Tel Aviv).
The photo was a little faded (probably as it was taken on a very hazy day), so I saturated it in order for it to look as colorful as it is in reality. A few hours (and many clouds…) later, I returned to the same spot and took another picture – this time with my zoom closed. I posted the result (the skyline) to workshop.

Great shot of the Villa Regina, Liora, where the combination of distinctive architecture and unique colors makes for a very appealing view. Nice to see some of the bayside scenery around. I guess another interesting way of photographing this might be to zoom in some more and then crop to have just an abstract-looking colorful pattern of windows and balconies. Your note is excellent and the skyline picture you posted as a WS is nice, too. Well done.

I saw this early today when I posted, & I must say that this is a very good TE picture. It looks like a box of Smarties - Nestle chocies we get in SA, all colours of the rainbow.

Very interesting building. Lovely colours at them. Good capture, but if you ask me I did cropping at the right side a bit, an maybe rotation a little bit. A flag could be a border of the photo

I could recognize agam's sinature from the thumbnail, Liora, a very typical Agam's work. I am not sure that I like Agam's way of painting, but I agree that it is very special. There was a picture posted by Risto a few days ago, with the same color motif, but it was another architect there. Anyway, I like the "skeleton" look of this building.

This is an appealing image Liora with those whimsical colors but somehow it troubles my eye as I gaze at it. You've done a very fine job working with the geometry of a tall building naturally subject to perspective. You're not helped by the pastel colors on the balconeys at the right edge which make it difficult to read that vertical line. But more disruptive to my eye as I gaze at the image is the fact your point of view is not perpendicular to the building and we get the oblique angle at the top that carries down through every floor of the building which throws everything off kilter, at least in my brain. As kinetic art it works and perhaps you wish it to be so. I find it a fascinating exercise in bending the mind.
