One of the most common critters in the high altitude regions of Rocky Mountain National Park is the Yellow Bellied Marmot.

This cuddly looking 5-11 lb. (2-5 kg) large rodent is very common in a number of areas along trail ridge road.

Trail ridge road is one of the signature places of Rocky Mountain National Park. 8 miles of the road are above 11,000 feet (3,353 meters) in elevation.

The signature mountain of Rocky Mountain National Park - Longs Peak (elevation 14,259 feet ... 4,345 meters) is in the distance.
