Steve, what a fine photography and your note gives the right feeling to imagine how that might sound to walk on that surface. Death Valley is a fascinating place and I have never been to Bad Water. Your shot gives me the right introduction.

The color is awesome. I love the way things look just before the sun rises and just after it sets. You've captured the moment before the sun rises perfectly.
