Photographer's Note
I have uploaded a similar picture already. However, I have recently learned of High Dynamic Range (HDR) images. For those unfamiliar, 2 or more photographs of different exposure but of the same object are merged. For this photo I merged three photos each having EV values of -.63, 0, and 1.00. This process can result in some very nice images. Just compare this photo to my non-HDR I posted a while back. I really want to continue to explore this process as I love the results. Thanks for looking.

Nice shot, I have to learn more about HDR, because it can result in spectacular looking shots.

HDR pictures can be very beautiful and I have seen some extraordinary HDR work here on TE. IMO, your picture is quite over-exposed, particularly on the arch and the lower part of the sky. To be honest, I really prefer the non-HDR version.

PS. In your introduction , you wrote ***Thanks for looking at my photos, I hope you enjoy them.***. Do you really mean it? If so, let me be frank with you. It is up to you to be seen. The more you write critiques the more you will be seen and receive critiques on your work. This is the easiest way to be successful here on TE.

Hmm... look again at your non-HDR image. It has far more detail, and the shadows are more interesting. For me, there's no question that the other is the better image.

Hi Alan,
I also like the non-HDR photo much better.
For me the benefit of HDR in general are the "stronger" colors and the touch of surrealism. All this is missing in this photo
