Beaver Creek Ski Resort
Colorado
Taken on a foggy day skiing at Beaver Creek resort. The fog was coming in and out throughout the day, and I took the opportunity during a short clearing in the fog to take a few pictures. For most of the day, the mountains up ahead were not visible.
Beaver Creek is near the town of Avon, CO and not far from the Vail resort. It operates 16 lifts that access 146 trails.
Beaver Creek is well known for being a previous residence of former US President Gerald Ford. They have recently renamed one of the advanced runs "President Ford's" in honor of him (he was also honored at Vail Resorts as well).

Re-post of an image from yesterday. One of the critiques mentioned that it was a little dark and blue, and suggested a black and white version, so here it is. I agree that I like this one better.

Beautiful view! The b&w fits very well to this nice contrast of trees and snow, since the colours are usually not visible in this situation. Well done! Nice POV!

A fantastic region for ski fans. I had the chance of passing some days around when I worked for a firm from Denver.
I like your point of view giving a wonderful sight on the valley going down. The foggy weather is mixing the moutains and the sky creating a very interesting atmosphere.

Hi Amber,
I checked all the version you proposed and I'm quite split. I'm a B&W lover and I found your conversion very nice, I guess it gives a good mood and it's more original to this kind of scenery, but them when I saw that you had osted a color version I went there to check and I liked too It's true that there is a blueish tone, but the tones are soft and nice which add an intersting touch too... The comositionis nice and good deeph of field.
