Photographer's Note
This picture was taken at a Mojave Desert Highway rest area. I took this while we are on the way to Henderson, Nevada. The play of light on the branches of the trees that are bare of leaves fascinated me. A huge Joshua Tree may be seen at the lower part, just on top of one of the cars.
I took this photo using my wife's little "point and shoot" camera.

Very nice shot! What I like the most about this is the stark graphic look, which makes the trees and their intricate branch pattern really stand out. The square format works quite well here too, I wish people would use it more often. Well done!

I didn't see this one yesterday, but I really like it. I thknk you've framed it well so that the branches fill the top half of the shot, but the trunks themselves are not central. Nice sepia treatment too.
