Photographer's Note
This chicken looked like a gate guard to me. She stood there for a while as if saying "you will not pass without proper authorization".
The photo was taken at Cuttalossa Farm. I have several photos of this place in my album on TrekEarth that show the mill. On this one you can see a glimpse of the main residence.
Cuttalossa Farm is known for its Babydoll sheep, a relatively small breed with wonderful calm temperaments. The farm was once the home of artist Daniel Garber, who originally brought sheep to the farm to keep the surrounding hills clean of poison ivy.

Lovely shot , Linda !
It`s a very intresting subject that you captured.The withe color of chicken( or rooster?!!)is a strong element in this shot.The horizontal lines of stones are well captured & Those are strong in composition.The yellow flowers in left is well composed.The pic seems to be simple but I think is very excellent.I like it.You did great,Linda.

I like this one! The "private" sign, and the chicken below it - very funny scene and well spotted. A beautifully colored natural setting you are showing here, Linda, very nicely done.

This is hilarious! I am still laughing. What an original capture. The colour are great. The lush greens and yellows are contrasted beautifully to the red on the hen. Well done!
