this is the most snapshot-esque way you can shoot. You've stuck the subject smack dab in the center of the shot... this is necessary when shooting with a camera which can only focus on the central item in the scene, if the subject and other objects are far forward or back of each other so that focus would be in the spot if you shifted the viewfinder ot the side. I don't know if your camera is that sort of point and shoot, but I can tell you -in this case- the trees are equadistant from the camera as the lighthouse is, so if you had shifted the center to the left or right it would have still been focused. This would have created a more interesting composition.
