hello Wes,
it's a very nice composition, with a good depth in the shot, good colours, but I think you did mis a very important thing here and that is the horizon is not straight, that's a shame farther good job.

Wes, beautiful contrast. The background with that mountains was very well taken. And the high contrast to take the shadows of the plants were good.
Well done!

Hello Wes, this is a beautiful mountain scene well framed by the trees. The ripples on the water make for interest in the foreground. Your image is leaning a bit to the right though...

Wes
Nice framing and perspective and good that you caught the river flowing by. The perspective gives good depth and leads in well to the composition.

Hola Wes.
Excellent shot of a beautiful place, the pine trees along the river edge and the mountains in the back give your picture a very good perspective and depth. Nice colors and good POV. Do you think it's a little bit tilt toward the right? Great composition.
very well done.

Hej Wes,
Impressive piece of nature, really nice trees and rocks in the background. The picture seems to be quite tilted, that's a pity, but good work anyway. :-)

Say Wes congrats on passing the 11111 mark on TE. A very nice nature photo showing the beauty of this park. Excellent lighting Wes and depth of view! I believe Jaap is correct though. The level shold be guaged by the water level on the rock face and not the trees. Cheers Wes!

Hello Wes, I lovely landscape shot. So calm and beautiful Very well balanced angle, I like how you included different textures: sky, water, stones and forest. Perfect definition and use of light. Very well done, Gabriel

Hi Wes. It seems like a very peaceful place. The lighting looks a little tricky and I'd say you did pretty well. You might have fun with the graduated tint tool in Picasa2 to get more oomph out of the sky. Beautiful shot Wes!

Hello, Wes!
Another pretty composition from the mountains! The river gave an interesting (not too permanent) base to the rest of the scene. It makes a feeling that You will flow into the deep of the cadre. I like the rocky mountain in the background and natural framing of trees. For me, image is little tilted to the right... but it doesn't spoil the final impression. Nice work!

Greg

Hi Wes
Well the rest of TE members have mentioned it. You needed to level the image a little to straighten it.
No doubt a well composed shot, but it lack the sharpness.
I have seen most of your outdoors landscape images but most of it lack the sharpness. What the problem, p'ng you.
Did you adjust your D70 where you got a soft, shapr & sharper mode in the menu. Try to adjust it to sharper mode. I believe this will give you quite an outstanding image.
And next, well, you might think that I'm an anti-polarizer. YES I'M. The polariser seem not to work well in most of your image, Wes.
It seem to have "overlapse" the originality of the natural color. Try to disengaged it, Wes. Try to use different method and mode.
By the value of the aperture and speed used, this exposure should give you an excellent image.
cheers and merry christmas,Wes.

The composition is as high as the tree and offers well the mountains. The foreground is great with the running water.
I like it

Hi Wes,
Clearly you wanted the composition from this angle. I tend to dislike photos that seem tipped, but this one seems right to me. It's the angle of the river that gives a sense of tilt, bit the trees look straight. Having done a bit of paddling/floating rivers, this shot feels just right to me. Pat
