Photographer's Note
It appears that many Japanese couples come to Central Park to do their wedding book. However, in this case it amazed me how the bride can just stand there without a coat in the freezing cold. I also liked the way the white clothes of the couple interacted with the white snow. So I (and a bunch of other by-standers...) decided to take their photo the couple seemed to be amused with the interest we took at them...

Good shot. The whites are a perfect match. I cannot make out clearly the bottom of the dress. It's interesting to see what people get up to in Central Park these days. Maybe you should have made the title 'Snow White'. Thank you for sharing it.

Interesting candid wedding shot. The high key image is dramatic. Maybe could use more sharpness in the couple, with less sharpness on the trees in the background. i.e. shallower DOF (larger aperture) would result in a less busy background to make the couple stand out more.

What a beautiful capture! The bride's dress really went well with the snow. They were lucky and seem to have a lot of fun. Again, what a good catch and a nice piece of photojournalism!
TrekEarth member Chalcone has commented that these photo sessions are becoming more and more necessary for Asian weddings and planning for such takes months before the actual event, and they then present the photos DURING the wedding. Central Park seems to be a very popular place for these photo sessions.

Very nice photograph!
Like you, I'm amazed what people will do on their wedding to make sure they have great pictures.
This couple looks like they will have some very memorable ones.
Your image is very nice! You've captured the white on white nicely. I wonder if you'd taken one step to your right if you could have hidden the black of the inside of his coat more - but who knows, because you might have lost his face!
I wish you had controlled your Depth of Field a bit more and made the background more blurry - making the couple stand out a bit more - they sort of blend into the background with the trees a bit too much.
Nice note. I love it that you tell us ***what*** interested you enough to take the snapshot!
Great job all around!

I've added this to the wedding theme. This is well exposed and you captured an engaging pose. Nice shot. I'm not convinced the couple is Japanese, though. I wish I could see the writing on the ribbon. Looks like a good clue.

Dear Liora,
Cold? Well coming from Israel it might APPEAR cold but to northerners like the Japanese or us English, well, cold is something to be enjoyed!
A beautiful picture.
Did the couple get a copy though?

I always like snow shots with trees and sun, but this is a special one. The few colours on the bride's dress create a nice contrast with all those different tints of white. Beautiful picture, Liora. TFS
