Photographer's Note
Sentinel Fall is the 10th tallest waterfall in the world. (Yosemite Falls, which across Yosemite Valley from Sentinel Fall is the 5th tallest waterfall)
Located at the southern rim of the valley and just west of Sentinel Rock, Sentinel drops via many stairsteps, some 2,000 ft, or 610 m.
The water volume is not large even in the spring time. During summer, this fall is barely a mist. Multistage Sentinel Fall is best witnessed in the warming, waning days of May when runoff is at its peak. Sentinel Fall is often ignored by tight-time tourists in Yosemite because this fall is not as spectacular as many other falls in Yosemite Valley.
A different angle view of the water fall, including the Sentinel Rock, is showing in WS.
I have cropped the photo on both left and right sides to meet the 200K uploading limit.

Wow - not an easy shot - but you manage to give us this impressive waterfall with a good feeling of height - thanks for sharing this sight - I like it very much - waterfalls "rare" around here.

Hi Wes
An impressive shot of an impressive waterfall. The eye follow the fall from bottom to the top easily in this one. Also a great framing by the trees in the bottom
Well done

Another one of Yosemite's precious waterfalls, Wes. Nice framing here to not only fit it into the photo in its entirety, but also showing it well embedded into is scenic natural context. Good exposure treatment, nice sharpness, and a very natural look to the colors and textures - nice one.

Hi Wes, this is beautifully captured. I like it that the bottom part of the waterfall is hidden, it is as if it can go on endlessly. I have seen this waterfall, and it's a real beauty. Nice colors, and you composed it very well.

Hi Wes,
Glad to see you after my anniversary at 20 may at S.Miguel Island in Azores. Normally you post fast and I will see you gallery with some delay.
I like your work and capture of nature with significative details that you combine very well.
Good contrast, perspective and momment to shot, resulting in a quality picture. A little of positive "Hue" near 2 points possible was a improuvement of sky, in my my modest opinion.
Thanks for sharing and also your good eye and ideas!

Hi Wes, I find it a bit funny and ironic that the worlds 10th tallest can practically dry up. But you have done a great job of capturing this monster. I like the pine tree on the right hand side as it makes for an interesting composition. This might have been a good place to use a polarizer though. But another super shot Mr. Wes!

Morning, Wes.
Great angle, and you almost captured the whole fall, I assumed.
Wes, why not you do some PP on your shot, especially the hue and saturation to improve the greens.
Well done.

Well captured, Wes. Especially so given the obviously difficult terrain and visibility conditions. The scene is nicely composed and the detail sharp. The colours are realistic. The lighting on the rock face is interesting and the eye is led nicely from there up the falls. Very well seen and executed.

Hi Wes,
Yes, this water fall really looks huge, but you got it all in one picture very well! The framing with the trees is also very good!
Great work! :-D

Great shot, Wes. The sharpness is there, and you've allowed the water to move just enough to make it look really good.
Yes, I've done that too, a bit of cropping just to make the byte limit.
Best,
Matt
