Photographer's Note
This is another image recounting the old Lucin Cutoff railroad trestle system that went across the Great Salt Lake, now replaced by rock and gravel causeway. This old barge somehow lifts the pilings out of the ground. I really don't know how they do it. I should have asked, but no one was around!
The pilings are each very long, and some had been lashed together if they were not on solid ground when inserted into the ground. As the pilings are removed, you can perhaps imagine the quality of lumber: long, straight, single trees that are difficult to come by now--and the wood is sometimes over 100 years old.
It was recently discovered that Strativarius' secret for his masterful instruments was that he used old, old wood found in the mud of a nearby river (but in Europe), much like the lumber that is coming from this lake. It really is good lumber, though I do wish the salvage company would leave some of them in for history's sake.
The colors are from various types of salt-tolerant algae. My wife tells me they are kind of lovely, but they look strange and other-worldly to me!

Hi David,
A nice framing with a good diagonal conducting to the machine.
Good colors and sky.

Hi David,
I like the two parallel diagonals and the colors of the FG ground. I also like the tilt of the barge's mast. Very good framing with the sky that covers the upper 1/4 of the frame.

Hi David,
Lovely photo that does have a "out of this world" feel to it. Interesting note and good composition and sharpness. But I find the format of the photo a bit small to appreciate it fully.

Hi David. I certainly like the colors as well. I like how you have all of those items in the foreground as a focus and still have a remarkable DOF to the shot. The sharpness seems very good. I know you were trying to show the strange colors but this seems like your kind of shot to be b/w. At any rate a great shot!

Thanks for your interesting and very well done critiques to my last post that I agree with you, in my one point resulting PP of sharpness that it's was not necessary. So, my thanks for your great perspection, knowledge and friendly way personal contribution. All of us, good, not so good or giving the first steps must share the opinion of others, experience and opinion, and I will respect you.
RESULTING: Thanks very much!!!
My critique thinking of the capture and the simbolic way you take: Here you have a great approach in a great impressive vertical frame of a artwork in a real negative world or motive, that you did well. Attention is for others and you call attention.
So, your picture is great of personal quality composition, that minimizes the bad real scenery that you captured. What I say is that you make from a bad scenery a hope of joy. It's really the world ?!? With this is possible better, because you show us many things to understand and for better.
Thanks very much for your sensibility, artwork, creativity and great work.
Fernando.
