Photographer's Note

This is part of the Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden in Nacogdoches, TX. It bills itself as the largest azalea garden in Texas. Overall, it was a *LOT* smaller than I expected it to be. It was still quite pretty however. The gardens are part of the Stephen F. Austin State University grounds and cover 8 acres supposedly.

This particular scene was along bed 5 on the outer northern edge of the garden. The pink/red flowers are Loropetalum I believe. On the other side of the fence is a steep drop off to a small stream and some university buildings. I put the path (which does slope, that's not an illusion; the fence is not level either due to the drop-off) off center mostly to hide the buildings out of frame. A good decision or bad one?

Not much PP on this one. Some cropping, resizing, and sharpening using the refocus plugin.
