Photographer's Note
A bit off the Jeep beaten track of Forest Road 12 in Tonto National Forest's Bulldog Canyon Recreation Area is a wash, a seasonally flowing stream. As our monsoon season ends, the waterfalls cease spilling water into the pools beneath. But the pools linger and this one's sheltered location allowed it to mirror the sky, creating a blue hole between rock and sand.
