Photographer's Note

Hello, a recent trip to the desert took me to this beautiful place. It is my first trip to Death Valley and I was amazed at the stark beauty of the desert. Right now there are delicate yellow flowers blooming on the desert floor. So pretty. The temps got up to the 90's in the day and 50's in the night. Spring time is a perfect time of the year to go.This sand dune is located in Death Valley, which is the hottest and driest place in North America.
"Death Valley National Park is a national park in the U.S. states of California and Nevada located east of the Sierra Nevada, occupying an interface zone between the arid Great Basin and Mojave deserts in the United States. The park protects the northwest corner of the Mojave Desert and contains a diverse desert environment of salt-flats, sand dunes, badlands, valleys, canyons, and mountains", (wikipedia)
