Photographer's Note
This building was designed by architect Frank Gehry, Walt Disney Concert Hall, new home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, is designed to be one of the most acoustically sophisticated concert halls in the world, providing both visual and aural intimacy for an unparalleled musical experience. From the stainless steel curves of its striking exterior to the state-of-the-art acoustics of the hardwood-paneled main auditorium, the 3.6-acre complex embodies the unique energy and creative spirit of the city of Los Angeles and its orchestra.
It was hard to take pictures of such a tall and wide building with narrow streets. Because of its varying planes of stainless steel siding, you get glare from different locations but it seems every corner is a nice picture opportunity. I decided to make it black and white picture because the stainless steel siding is already gray and it turns bluish in picture like the sky. B & W came out more interesting. The concert hall is on 111 South grand Street almost across the Museum of Contemporary Art Building designed by Arata Isozaki.

I passed by yesterday but didn't have much time to comment this one. I think the composition is good with an overall diagonal, maybe just crop the dark line on the bottom. I miss some people interacting with the building as you show the stairs and the sidewalk (in opposition to the two more abstract shots posted today).

Hi Andre, this building makes me think of the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao (Spain). Well, most probably the same architect at work! I like the shades of grey in this picture and the clean appearance of the building. As Anton already wrote, a single person (Donald Duck...? ;-)) going down the stairs would have been a nice addition to this picture.

I understand your decision for Black and White, but on this kind of pictures I’m always very fond of the reflections of the blue sky in the steel siding. But blue is my favourite colour, you know.

Another very nice photo of this place. The BW with soft textures works very well I also like the fact that there’s no one in the frame in this case. You got lucky with the sky as it fits very well the mood.

Andre this has really soft curves and a slick design. The black and white are a good choice to show this pic. Good job Andre thanks.

Bonne idιe d'avoir choisi le B&W cela met en valeur l'architecture. La composition est trθs intιressante. Pour ma part j'aurais supprimι la fine bande noire du bas de la photo.

Hey Andre, I choose to comment on this photo as per your post in the forum, I think that its great, brilliant choice of b+w, really fits the image. I also like how you got the name of the building to look like a watermark.
I cant help feeling this woudl be better with some human interest i.e. some queing or something?
