Photographer's Note
After a day of driving along California's Route 1 highway, I pulled off into Los Osos to fill up the tank. I decided to drive to a secluded part of the shore - a tidal inlet across from Morro Bay. I arrived just around dusk, walked a short distance through the Elfim Forest Reserve, and came upon this view of Morro Rock shrouded in mist in the distance.

Greetings Andrew,
The central coast of California is wonderful, one of the most scenic drives I have seen. I passed through Morro Bay a few times but have not yet a chance to explore. This is a really nice view with the low sunset light, illuminating the mount of the Morro Rock and painted the sky with soft pastel tone. The wetland gives a nice shinny reflection of the remain of the light. Good shot and good composition, the foreground adds depth.

Andrew now you have me interested in driving down the California coast to look for this bay. Excellent lighting and wonderful results seen here..thanks for sharing.

I haven't been there in over 40 years and find that your photo has brought back wonderful memories. Wonderful DOF and POV and I find this photo to be artistic in nature. Stunning colors and light management with fantastic clarity, Great job here Andrew!!

Andrew, I know exactly where this is taken and this area is so very beautiful!! what amazes me most is that the colors change by the minute!! a very romantic image!!
