Photographer's Note
On my way to the subway I wanted to shoot this famous crack and try to give my artistic impression on this interesting feature. The leaves were falling to the ground giving me some good foreground subjects to work with. This one area was one of the only spots where the leaves were not getting washed away from the flowing water on top of the sandstone.

I fully agree with what was said before me, your POV and the overall detail are fantastic, the colors incredible. I love the wet sides of the crack (I almost said walls - the crack reminds me a canyon so much) are like nothing I have seen before. The whole photo is just...magnificent.

A great photo and different take on a often photographed subject. I get tired carrying a 35mm camera there. A large camera takes more fortitude that I have, but the dof makes the difference. An under appreciated photo.
