Photographer's Note
This place is about an hour away from my house, right off the side of the road, and I had wanted to shoot it forever. The one time I stopped, I didn't have a ND filter on me, so I used a R72 filter to slow the shutter down, then converted it to black and white.
Sometimes I get bothered by the log in the foreground, other times I think it helps.

Yes! This is fantastic. The range of contrast is superb, the long exposure is perfect, I love the white streaks on the water. Beautifully framed and composed and I think the log helps here. My only wish is make it bigger! I would love to see this 800 pixels wide. Use the limit!

Its a lovely picture... and I would say perfect except for two points...
one is that there is a bit too much to focus on. the branches at the front, the water, the trees, the two levels of water...
and second is that I think a bit faster shutter would have given you a better effect of flowing water. its a bit too blurred right now.
in spite of these minor things I like the shot... well done

Well !! The first plan not helping in that composition. It's to cutout from the water.. I would suggest you to raise a bit your spead shutter because we lost details in water and its to bright.
Without the branch in first plan the landscape would be more obvious.

This place is something!!!
The picture shows it almost in a perfect way!
I like exposure and composition a lot and I just would like that it could be a little bigger.

Another great picture- the long exposure catches the impression of this cold season very good. I think b&w was the right choice here too. Let me only suggest you to enlarge the picture size a bit- this would make almost perfect.
