Photographer's Note
This is one of the most photographed areas of Western United States. It is Cannon Beach, Oregon. It is a lovely place when it doesn't rain. I owned a house on the beach about 13 miles south of here for 17 years but moved out of the state and sold the house.
This picture was taken in Ecola State Park which is contiguous to the village of Cannon Beach. It was purportedly discovered by Captain William Clark and his 12 member of the Corps of Discovery as they climbed over the rocky headlands and through thick shrubs to get to a whale that was beached. One can see gray whales, tide pools and surfersfrom this beach,. Wonderful spot in this world.

Hi Roger,
And I already thought that the west coast cannot surprise me anymore...
It is really a very good job. The foreground adds a lot of charm to the scene.
Beautiful shot!

Rodger,
Great view, nice story!
Even it was not a good picture day you made it look pretty good, especially with that foreground.
Thanks!

Hello Roger,
no wonder that this area is photographed frequently. Mounts and water together are alwys interesting and you did it really well with the foreground. I do not really understand the colours (may be a deliberate correction or a joke of the camera). I have played with them a bit as you can see in the WS.
Best whishes
Laszlo
