Photographer's Note
While in Denver, Colorado, I had the chance to attend a Denver Broncos preseason football game (that's American football, for most of you...) Football in the US is an amazing spectacle. As a game, I prefer baseball, but for a show, a football game can be an incredible experience. Never have I felt that more than at this game.
Despite it being a preseason game - the results don't count in any kind of official standing, and the games are meant more for practice than anything else - there was an atmosphere that felt like it mattered. Players were introduced by running out to fireworks and the occasional pyrotechnic fireball (pictures of that tomorrow), and four stunt skydivers, their parachutes decorated in the Broncos colors, dropped into the stadium just before kickoff. Here's the best shot I got of them - they were moving incredibly fast, but I caught this guy in a slower moment, floating above the upper deck, with the Broncos logo visible in the seats below.

I've always wanted to go to an NFL game, and yes i know that the seahawks are just a 2.5 hour drive south of Vancovuer - but i just have not gotten around to it yet!

the atmosphere you described in your note is shown nicely here by the parachute man! :)
love the colors, the light and the unique view of the stadium.
I'm betting that you're happy Manning is now a Bronco!

This is full of excitement and your timing is fantastic captured the airborn guy at a perfect location in the frame and the cheering crowds add the party atmosphere to this scene. The touch of vivid red helps the focus and the crowds ensure attention is held firm there. Such vibrancy in contrasting colors make the shot for me. A very nicely captured "decisive moment" photo with a good timing. Dominance of red-dark blue colours on the seats of the Stadium and the parachute as well and of course their contrast against the greyish colour of the background looks beautiful. Congratulations.
