Photographer's Note
Zabriskie Point - Death Valley
I had seen this famous place on many pictures before, but when I came there myself I was still really really impressed by this very special kind of landscape. It is not even a ten minutes drive away from the Park΄s entrance. Although you only have to walk one or two hundret meters from the parking lot to the viewpoint you already work up a sweat as it is terribly hot. Down in the valley it even had incredible 55°C (131°F) in the shade! Anyway, apart from the heat the Death Valley was a wonderful place to visit and I΄m really glad we didn΄t skip Zabriskie Point.
So, I hope you like this one and I΄m glad for any advice, hint or proposition, that could help me to improve my photography.

Hi Jonas,
I do like your composition and the colours you got out of that famous place. I dunno I feel you could up contrast a bit though but that's just my humble opinion.
Yours,
Philippe

Hallo Jonas,
A well known place, also famous in movies and pictures. Light can be terrible there, especially during high noon. Being there at sunrise is the best way to go, but seeing your picture that is also not taken at sunrise i have to admit it looks not that harsh with excellent contrast lines over the hills without flat light. The clouds on top are also a nice touch, we don't see many of them when going to DV.
An interesting shot with good excellent exposure settings....very good work.

hallo Jonas,
ja, das gefaellt mir gut...denn das Bild hat die notwendige Tiefe, wohin die Augen rennen und geniessen koennen.
ausserdem sind die Farbe so "gebraten" und stossen gut gegen die blaue Himmel!
ciao

Jonas, another great entry for your gallery. The color and detail are fantastic and the only thing I would add is a person or object in the fg to scale. Great capture in any case.

Hallo Jonas! Tolles Bild von A - Z ... Beste Gruesse, Barbara.

Hi Jonas,
Excellent photo of this famous panorama! I like the 1/3 sky 2/3 land disposition. The lights are beautiful and you managed to expose it very well!
TFS!

Jonas,
This is a very nice shot of Death valley. The colors the arid landscape is just so typically of the area. I like the fact that you not trying to make it any more colorful than it is. Because this is as close to reality in this light, I like the 3D quality of it against the distance mountain. this really inspire me to go there again soon. I have not been in years. It's about 6 hour drive for me. Thanks Jonas. I hope all is fine with you. You have not been very active lately here.

Hi Jonas
About Zabriskie point, i didn't visit, i left DV on the north side.
This part is know for amazing sunset who give warm color to rock.
It's a pleasure to see the end of DV in background and impossible to imagine how many kms between it and your spot. Again you get excellent clouds on your sky.
Have a good day

Hi Jonas
You have created a very good image, the tones are superb considering the time you took this shot, I have been here very early in the morning, but just missed that special light by about 10 mins, but it is an impressive place. Impressive pp work btw

Hello Jonas,
What a wonderfully rugged place this is. Interesting to hear that it is that close to the parking lot. If you look at this shot, you can imagine a climb of days before getting there ;-).

Dennis

Hello Jonas
Really long time no see? You might be very busy, as I see not many pictures posted as well! Lovely picture of bleakness of desolation for which ZP has become the epitome of. Good exposure settings & the crispness in the shot which I admire. Good work!
Regards
Angshu
