Burrrrrr I remember wading in it and how very cold it was, even in august. The colors are very pretty. The trees in the forefront gives the idea that I am hiding behind the tree peeking at the river.
Great framing and I love the way the rocks on the right seem to protect the river.

A nice landscape picture of this world famous national park. This is also a very good example of a V valley. Good composition and good exposure.

Dear Wes, I like the combination of water, green vegetation and mountains, the three elements as basis for a very beautiful picture, also the depth and colours are so usual.

Hi Mr. Wes! Another excellent shot from you. But this kind of shot is exactly what graduated neutral density filters were made for. You'd get a darker sky and rocks in the distance with the foreground remaining the same. But you did an admirable job with less than perfect lighting conditions. All of the highlight detail is retained too. Nice shooting my D70 buddy!

Very nice add for your series, Wes, actually one of my personal favorites in it so far. Good use of natural framing, and a very refreshing-looking rendition of the colors and natural textures. Nice work. I remember pitching my tent on the Wawona campground just around 50 feet away from the south fork of the Merced River (having the constant sound of it in the background was wonderful).

Hi Wes,
I like your point of view here, overlooking this beautiful river and the scenery around it is very joyful. I can see some reflections in the water, but I bet under better less harsh lighting condition the river would look even prettier.
