Apparently there are as many if not more pirates in California than there were in the Carribean during Captain Kidd's time?
The Tahoe Renaissance Faire was invaded by pirates; though friendly, perhaps plenty of ale?
The annual Valhalla Renaissance Faire is usually celebrated the first two weekends in June, at Camp Richardson off Highway 50.

Ahoy me hearty! I truly hope these people are dressing up for a festival and this isn't there everyday dresscode. Anyway, I love the quirkiness of this photo, it's given me a smile too, can't ask for much more than that.

Hi Ray,
Excellent costumes, and I love the look in the eye of Mrs Pirate, she has a very sly grin.
Mr Pirates expression is cool too, like he is really into the part. Love how the hats put shadow on their faces.
