Photographer's Note
Sedona /sɨˈdoʊnə/ is a city that straddles the county line between Coconino and Yavapai counties in the northern Verde Valley region of the U.S. state of Arizona. As of the 2010 census, its population was 10,031. Sedona's main attraction is its array of red sandstone formations. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. The red rocks form a popular backdrop for many activities, ranging from spiritual pursuits to the hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails. Sedona was named after Sedona Arabella Miller Schnebly (1877–1950), the wife of Theodore Carlton Schnebly, the city's first postmaster, who was celebrated for her hospitality and industriousness. The fine weather and the perfectly exposed and saturated photo gives full credit to the spectacular rocks. The composition wouldn't have been the same without the trees and the little wooden hut.

I like this image very much. The play of light and shadow is beautiful, the distance creates deepness and a nice mood of quietness is present. The ligh gives very good colors and sharpness.

Hi Eleu, Nice description of these rocks. The touch of the sunlight has nice colour effect on the rocks. Wonderful composition with this little hut, the fence and wild plants around. The shadows on the muddy ground give nice patterns to the floor. Beautiful warm colours along with clarity. At least 2 points. Best regards

Hello Eleu,
The low position of the sun creates long shadows on the foreground and a nice contrast between the sunlit part of the huge rocks and the part in the shade.
The middle part of the rock, completely dark, has very remarkable shapes.
A splendid view from on a distance nicely including some trees on the foreground.

Hello Eleu,
the rock formations are amazing and I like how you presented them more on the second plan. They draw attention very much also with their bright color and provide lovely settings for the wooden shed surrounded by the fence. Very pretty light and colors, nice framing.

You've captured very well this landscape scene by a good composition and bright tone, so it's interesting and impressive to see the brown rocks with elegant shape. The whole is harmonized well by beautiful color & light balance. And, the contrasting blue sky draws out an additional good atmosphere, too.

Now I am wishing I had gone here but you cannot see everything in the States in only 4 weeks. Wonderful warm cold color contrasts between the blue sky and red rocks with good sharpness and density levels giving punchy light contrasts. Tfs!

I remember another recent picture of yours with the same theme, I like this place very much. You are describing the wonderful natural scenery in a simple and effective way, your composition is carefully balanced and has great depth. Each element and part of the scenery has distinct colours and textures, the contrasts are very attractive.
