Photographer's Note

This is another shot of my many of the Arizona Balloon Fetivals. This event is nothing like the one in New Mexico. This much smaller with only a bit over 50 balloons, but it is still exciting, but one must be up before dawn to have some good pictures. I imagine this may have been about 6:30 AM or earlier. There are many people with balloons and they all use a similar helium mechanism to inflate the balloons. There are also balloon rides later, but the first or second day is primarily a Fox and Hounds chase, where one balloon is designated the fox, and then the other balloons are the hounds and they chase the fox in the air of course. I have no idea what the winner receives who manages to catch the fox. I have attended two of the festivals, and almost daily right now, I see two or three of these balloons floating over my house. They sometimes land on one of our golf courses. I like them for the color. I have some shots of many of them filling the sky as well.
