Photographer's Note
Built in 1927, the Gillespie Dam Bridge's construction was made all-weather travel of the Southern Transcontinental route possible for the first time. The bridge has 9 steel-truss spans and is 1,662 feet (506.6 metres) long. Refurbished in 2011, the bridge has both height and weight restrictions.
The interstate road has since been rerouted and this section between Arlington and Gila Bend is now known as Old US 80. Since the rerouting, the road now hosts sparse local and tourist traffic, allowing me to squat on the center stripe for this photo.

Hi Mark
That's a mighty and characterful chunk of Yank irons! looks a catchy classic architecture. I like the whole perspective and depth with lovely interplay of strong shadow and touch of striking yellow lines. This is a lovely crisp bold image, I love the lighting, rich colours and contrast to deep sky is just awesome. Congrats
