Photographer's Note
Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., just outside of Washington, D.C. Original was in color. Black and white is much more appropriate for this photo, I believe.
More than 4 million people visit Arlington National Cemetery each year. The cemetery is spread over 200 acres and is the final resting place for more than 300,000 of America's war heroes, veterans and national dignitaries and explorers. The cemetery is the home of the Tomb of the Unknowns, which has a constant military guard, and is also the burial grounds of Presidents John F. Kennedy and William Taft.
