Photographer's Note
The passive suggestion of serious mischief. The hand is never the best defence, rather a strong belief in the intimidation of the stare game seems to deny even the most persistant. Although, it can be heartening to know the same look that suggests get away can mean...
anything.

She seems to challenge us (you). Intense stare. I like it. Is she hiding her claws by having her fingers tucked in her hair? ;-)
Great one, as usual.

Hello Christopher,
What a superb portrait. Moreover, you have inadvertently placed one eye of the subject (here her left) very close to the vertical centerline. It was discovered by Dr. Christopher Tyler, an English born psychologist practicing in San Francisco that in all great portraits of the centuries, the centerline passes right through one eye of the subject. This is true in Leonardo's and Rembrandt's immortal portraits, even the more abstract portraits created by van Gogh and Picasso. (I wrote a book where I explained this in part.) In any event, this is a fabulous photograph that works especially well in black and white. Like good art, it is open-ended. Different viewers will have different interpretations of the subject's gaze.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Going back in time to those good, old books on photography...
Roaring 50' and 60' in black and white !!!
The old trick yet... Never be bored by that one...
Surprisingly fresh and mysteriously romantic...
I miss you here, bro

Hello Christopher! What a wonderful strong portrait, going deep for me, and I like how she poses for you covering her mouth, that I think gives this lost in thought look. Wonderful! Barbara.

HI brother,
She is piercing the lens of your camera. Yes, this portrait is awesome,as it shows the emotions of the lady in grains.
The mood is romantic and the hand..........you already wrote.
Welcome back dear.
I miss you on TE.

Hi Christopher !
Beautiful portrait - a bit of mystery, a bit of shyness, a bit of fear - an interesting and attractive mixture. And the hand... the hand is the great charmer here :))
Greetings T.
