Photographer's Note
Hello Friends!
Its been awhile but what a busy winter I've had!
My Husband and I purchased a home in Vermont (no this isn't it) We will be returning to live in Vermont just as soon as we sell or house here on Lake Erie.
So soon you'll be seeing more photos from Vermont , lucky for me I can still go watch and occassional sunset off Lake Champlain that won't be to far from where we will be living.
Now to this photo...Somewhere between Montgomery Vermont and Burlington I saw this farm. It was snowing pretty hard when I took the photo so I did have to do some photo adjustments digitally to bring the color out of the barn and trees. This is typical landscape for Vermont, Dairy farming is a huge business there and it was once said that Vermont had more cows then people! The trees sheltering the farm are mayple another business for Vermont, the sweet golden mayple syrup which is so heavenly!
I hope your all well and I look forward to catching up!

Hey Donna,
I love those "rural" photos from the US, because they carry a lot of ambiance. This one is well shot, with a beautiful composition and a nice motive.
See you around.

Hi Donna,
The house and the farm buildings stand out under the covered sky. The trees are a natural frame to the buildings. The point of view is giving depth to the photo. Well done, have a nice day.

Hello Donna,
The typical winter atmosphere is well captured!
The low light mutes the colours, making the images tend to black and white...
Here are some lovely trees, even if they look good with the naked branches I'd like to see them with full foliage too..!
Greetings,
Pablo -

hi Donna
Very good move! Vermont will be giving you great colors of fall this year. I have been to Connecticut but not to other places in Vermont, during my drive down from New Brunswick Canada down to Maine and southward to Boston and NYC, years ago. I dare say Vermont is more interesting than Erie in photography sense.

It is a very, very lovely picture. The colours are wonderful and that grainy sky is excellent. A minor flaw is that round spot on top left hand side which could have been cloned out.

Hi Donna!
Looking at this picture is almost like looking out on my parents neighbour. Reminds me alot of were I grew up. The barns and the snow. Were I live now there are no more then a couple of days with snow through the year.
A bit greyish but still lots of interesting colors and details. Like how you've used the POV to make it look like you are on your way up to the house from distance.

Hi Donna,
This wonderfully restored old Vt. farmstead is seen in all its original sharp details and clear colors. The dorment winter trees allow us a clear view of this fine landscape.

Hi Donna,
The gloomy winter sky was just perfect to give you that perfect plain canvas to present the scene. The lateral lines created by the leafless trees is visually pleasant. Wonderfully captured and composed. Well done! tfs

Hello Donna,
You will live a superb area. The winter resembles a true winter, which I would like to see in the area where I live. Beautiful image where the colors of the buildings are pleasant in the greyness.
Have a nice day

Hello Danna,
nice the Winter scenery with the leafless trees as foreground and the farms to complete the background. The whole environment looks very calmly and the stay in a place like this a nice experience.I think that the sky has a little beat grains and your sensor use cleaning because of the stain in the left on the sky.Informative your note too.
Regards,Danos

'Rurally' (Really) great view of this rural scenery. The reds and yellow seem to stand out in a B&W shot.
