Photographer's Note
A view of Pomeroy Hall, one of many buildings at the University of Vermont (UVM). I dropped a friend of mine off at the bus station in downtown Burlington who paid us a visit from Montreal. I was on my way home when I decided to pull into the UVM campus area to capture some pictures of some of the buildings. It was a nice quiet beautiful Sunday afternoon.
Here is an except of Pomeroy Hall which I obtained from the UVM's website:
"Located on Main Street at the south end of the University Green on the University of Vermont campus, Pomeroy Hall was originally a two and a half story brick structure built in 1828 to house the Medical College of the University of Vermont. It was built on a small plot of land purchased from Amos Blodgett for ten dollars by master builder John Johnson, who built the original North, South and Middle College Buildings (now called Old Mill) in 1825-1829.
When the University of Vermont Medical College was established in 1804, it was one of only about twenty medical schools in the country. In addition to this school in Burlington, there were also medical schools located in Castleton and Woodstock, Vermont.
Dr. John Pomeroy, for whom the building was eventually named, was the first Medical College faculty member. Pomeroy taught his students at his home on Water Street. The house is still standing on what is now called Battery Street and is known as the Pomeroy House."

Very creative! Well composed frame within a frame. I applaud these types of photos and wish you staying power to keep it posted in spite of lack of points right now. It deserves LOTS!
