Photographer's Note
Mountain laurel grows abundantly in the wild places of New Jersey (and I don't mean the inner cities). This was from part of our hike back from Sunfish Pond, before our descent into the swamp. We also found laurel on the trails of Lebanon State Forest in South Jersey; there, it was mostly white, while this arresting pink is predominant here in the northwestern part of the state. Not sure why although, as you can see, the terrain is hilly and rocky. South, it is flat and mostly sand.
This photo needed no saturation, as it was a brilliant day. Unfortunately the cloud is washed out, which I would prefer to blame on the camera, though I think the photographer had something to do with it :) Sharpening only.

Hello Lisa,
A lovely place and a spectacular laurel, well photographed. My only suggestion is that the background is slightly over-sharpened. I would try masking the foreground/middle ground to apply sharpening there only. You are dramatically changing my perception of New Jersey!

Hi Lisa,
Thanks for visiting my gallery so that I got a chance to see yours for the first time. Nice to see lots of images from NJ which is my fav.place. These flowers are lovely. I like the colors. Goes well with the green.
