Photographer's Note
I was wandering around Lenox in the Berkshires, admiring how unspoilt it was, with mainly 19thc wooden houses, but some bick ones also, like this early 19th C exmaple. This caught my eye because I thought the girl sitting on the step, maybe just for a convenient place to eat her snack, made for a more interesting compo. I also liked the texture of the bricks, and the play of sunlight through the trees.
Tech: crop and slight distort to make the walls look vertical in the frame.

Great composition, Richard.
When i saw the tumbs, i don't saw the girl. This photo without the girl, wasn΄t the saw. With the gril it's excelent.
Well done

Yes, the play of those shadows is really lovely and the repetition of the windows, together with the white door makes your composition outstanding, Richard. I agree with Rafael that the girl is a wonderful plus here. Very well done!

Nice capture of the light playing across the building and I love the contrast of the formal facade and the informal pose of the girl, It does make the shot Richard.
The crop is very tight, and may be less obvious if you cropped onto the edges of the building.

Nice. I like the windows. The person also make the shot more special I think. Maybe crop off some from right and left and it will be better. Good shot.

I like the way you have placed a person in the lower corner.
Good light - contrast and color, compocition, If it was my photo, I would have crop it in both side into the wall.

I like the brickwork and the sunlight. Very nicely captured. And the woman sitting there adds something to this. For some reason, to me, she seems out of place. I guess because seeing an old home like this I would imagine the people to look like the period, even though it's obviously a modern world. So in a way it looks like a museum artifact. I may also be imagining this because we have a village in Dearborn of collected old buildings from around the country so scenes like this mix there. Nicely captured.

I like the textures in this photo and the shadows create a relaxed mood, especially with the girl looking so relaxed. I agree yesterday that I would crop off the sides, it seems a bit distracting, but then it invites you around to the back of the house?
