Hi Talia, very nearly a great street photo! No, you should not have cropped out the tall man and it is his rather condescending look that helps to make the photograph. The pillar here is a useful compositional element to focus attention on the tall man and the old couple - without it, there would have been empty space. Two things I think would have improved the image. The first is still possible - delete the sepia for a good old fashioned black-and-white image. I know sepia is very in fashion on TE but the majority of images really look better untoned. The second would have been to use a wider angle lens to get a little closer to the action. The lens you have used makes the viewer feel a little distant and more of an observer. A very nice try though and I'm giving two points! Best wishes Stephen

Hi Talia,

You captured a very nice moment here. I would maybe cut a bit from the right and perhaps try to eliminate the two people on the extreems that do not add much.
