Looks as someone deliberatly scattered the big rocks along the sea-shore, Barbara.
But let's assume it's a nature's creation of millions of years, becouse there is a "wild" scene over.
Nicely divided picture space, trees on sife contrast well.

Well now here's something we don't see too often-if at all for that matter... a picture from Connecticut!

For a relatively minimal setting this sure is a beautiful stretch along the coast. Made even better by the fact it's a location rarely viewed here. Even for breaking the "vaunted rule of thirds," placing the horizon in the middle of the frame works just fine here, it by no means detracts from the natural beauty of this scenic view.

This composition has a natural flow which is easy to follow through the frame. Nice bright light and rich saturated colors have made for a simply beautiful image.
