A uinque salt field in China so called 'Yanjing', located on the way to Lhasa, Tibet from Shangri-la of Yunnan province, is now its busiest time of the year producing natural salt in traditional way.
This salt is being produced only in May and June, because these two months have mostly sunny days.
This terrace salt fields are placed along with the riverbank of upper stream of mekong river, amid very steep valley.
This salt field was formed and activated from a long long time ago, and has been very important resource to be traded during tea horse period...
