Photographer's Note

Spring at last appears to have begun in Scotland!

This was taken a few days ago at one of my favourite haunts - the Talla Reservoir near the little village of Tweedsmuir in the Scottish Borders. Although there is still little sign of much green in the grass up here at about 400 metres above sea level, the sky was blue, the sun was shining and there was some warmth in the sun too.

The reservoir lies below with the farm of Talla Linnfoots just seen at this end of it and Tweedmuir lies hidden in the distance at the other end beneath the distant hills. You can see the location if you look at Map: view but you can also see it if you look at this map - and if you drag the little yellow man down to the red cross, you can pan around and follow the road and see this view too.
